Constructor's Design Challenge Up a Notch for 2011!

Oregon Manifest Moves Constructor’s Design Challenge to the Next Level

PORTLAND, Ore. – Oregon Manifest’s highly successful Constructor’s Design Challenge will be moving to a biennial format. “The 2009 Constructor’s Design Challenge quickly established itself as a legitimate, fresh approach to promoting custom bicycle frame builders” said the event’s director, Jocelyn SyCip, “we see tremendous potential for the Constructor’s Design Challenge to become a true showcase for the craft and culture of hand built bicycles. This is clearly an event with staying power deserving of greater focus and cultivation.”

Oregon Manifest will scale down it’s event series substantially from 2009’s six weekends to focus on the signature Constructor’s Design Challenge.

The new biennial timeframe will allow Oregon Manifest the ability to maximize resources and provide bicycle frame builders a favorable production window to present best solutions to the Constructor’s Design Challenge criteria. Dates for the 2011 event, set to remain in Portland, Oregon, will be announced in early Summer of 2010.
